Brief information:
Logo analysis could be different from one and another, each logo has its own design and its own message, in the next few lines I will try to explain whether the logo has all the sets of principles and the element of design, so my logo choice will be about Pepsi company, how it started and what was the logo back then, after that we will see the improvements on it.

History of Pepsi Company:
Pepsi was first introduced as "Brad's Drink"[1] in New Bern, North Carolina, United States, in 1893 by Caleb Bradham, who made it at his drugstore where the drink was sold. It was renamed Pepsi-Cola in 1898 after the Greek word for "digestion" (πÎψη, pronounced the same as Pepsi), which the drink was purported to aid, and "cola" after the kola nut. The original recipe also included sugar and vanilla.[1] Bradham sought to create a fountain drink that was appealing and would aid in digestion and boost energy.[1]

In 1903, Bradham moved the bottling of Pepsi-Cola from his drugstore to a rented warehouse. That year, Bradham sold 7,968 gallons of syrup. The next year, Pepsi was sold in six-ounce bottles, and sales increased to 19,848 gallons. In 1909, automobile race pioneer Barney Oldfield was the first celebrity to endorse Pepsi-Cola, describing it as "A bully drink...refreshing, invigorating, a fine bracer before a race." The advertising theme "Delicious and Healthful" was then used over the next two decades.[2]

Line

I’m sure we’re all aware of what lines are, but just to be sure, lines can be defined as any linear marks. So, when you think about it, lines make up about everything. Even these words and letters you’re reading now are made up of thousands of curved, angled and straight lines.

Color
​
Typically known as hue. This word represents a specific color or light wavelength found in the color spectrum, ranging circularly from red to yellow, green, blue and back to red.

Color was the main part of creating this logo, it has different colors, when they are combined together they mean something.
​
Shape
​
All objects are composed of shapes, and all elements of design are shapes in some way. Shapes can live in a form. An example would be a button on a website: It’s a shape that’s living inside the computer (which is the form).
A shape is a two- or three-dimensional object that stands out from the space next to it because of a defined or implied boundary.
Negative space
​
To put it bluntly, negative space is the ‘space in-between’, the area between or around other elements that form its own shape
The widely regarded king and path-forger of negative space was artist M.C. Escher whose work I’m sure you’ve seen and been baffled by before.

Negative space was also used but in a different way, it was combination of different colors that covers a background to come up with the final result.
Value
​
Another word for the lightness or darkness of an area. Brightness measured in relationship to a graded scale from white to black.

Also, Value wasn’t a huge part of it, it was slightly used in the logo, not that much.
Proportion
​

A two- or three-dimensional element defined by other elements of design.
It is there but wasn’t a huge part of making the final result.
Balance
​

The elements of design converge to create a design or arrangement of parts that is a whole with equilibrium.
Balance was there, the combination of two colors mixed up together.

Visual hierarchy/Movement
​
Also known as motion. This element portrays the act or process of changing place or direction, orientation, and/or position through the visual illustration of starting or stopping points, blurring of action, etc.
It wasn’t a huge part of making the logo, we can see it still which don’t have any movements.

Focal point
​

Focal points are areas of interest, emphasis or difference within a composition that capture and hold the viewer's attention. The focal points in your design should stand out but should be noticed after the element with the most dominance.
I can say that it was there, like to get the attention of the viewers eyes, to see the middle of it and to focus on.
Variety/contrast

The "automatic principle." Whenever an element is placed within a format, contrast is created in the various elements. Can be emphasized with contrast in size, shape, color, texture, etc., etc. Offers variety within a visual format.
Contrast was also a huge part of making the logo it was used in it in different ways.

Rhythm
​

A recurrence or repetition of one or more elements within a visual format, creating harmony.
Rhythm complete Unity they are two important elements to create the logo.

Principle of design/ whether it was used or not:
Unity

"Oneness," "Harmony," "Gestalt." The condition of completeness with the use of all visual elements within a format.
Harmony was a part of making the logo, we can see that there are two shapes that have the same features.
History Of Pepsi
Approaches of abstraction/figure abstraction

Deliberation demonstrates a takeoff from reality in delineation of symbolism in workmanship. This takeoff from precise portrayal can be slight, incomplete, or complete. Deliberation exists along a continuum. Abstraction was not a part of this design although it has some features we can say that this method was used to create it, abstraction is a great way to combine two things into one, which finally will represent a logo or a message that we want to send.
A brand for what?
Pepsi is a carbonated soft drink manufactured by PepsiCo. Originally created and developed in 1893 by Caleb Bradham and introduced as Brad's Drink, it was renamed as Pepsi-Cola in 1898,[1] and then shortened to Pepsi in 1961.
A brand for whom?
Pepsi is a product or a drink that all of us can have, so I would say it targets the different ages and different genders, it can be found in a wide range within the supermarkets, grocery stores…etc
A brand for when?
Well it can be used in different occasions, parties, food festivals, even for weddings, it is a must in these situations, but restaurants is the important place to have that type of a product to deliver it with food.

A brand against whom?
1) Coca-Cola
Coca-Cola also called Coke is a carbonated soft drink. It is the number one non-alcoholic beverage company in the world and the most popular brand. The company’s top five soft drinks brands are Diet Coke, Coca-Cola, Sprite, and Fanta.
Apart from soft drinks, the company also markets juice drinks, waters, sports and energy drinks drink, ready-to-drink teas and coffees. Minute Maid, Dasani, Powerade, and Vitaminwater are few other brands. The company offers their products to almost 200 countries through the largest beverage distribution system in the world.

2) Dr. Pepper Snapple
An American soft drink company, Dr. Pepper Snapple is headquartered in Texas. It produces and sells non-alcoholic beverages in Canada, Mexico, United States, and the Caribbean. It was established in the year 2007. It is a wide portfolio of brands.
The company has their business operations in three main segments, Packaged Beverages, Beverage Concentrates, and Latin America Beverages. It produces various flavored carbonated and non-carbonated soft drinks which include ready-to-drink teas, drinks, juices, coconut water, and water.

3) Red Bull
Also regarded as a top Pepsi competitor, Red Bull is an energy drink sold by an Australian company, Red Bull GmbH. It has the highest share in the market of any energy drink with about 6.302 billion cans sold every year.
It was produced for the moments of enhanced mentally and physically stress and improves concentration, alertness, endurance, and reaction speed. It energizes mind and body. The efficiency of this drink has been proved by a large number of scientific studies and has been acknowledged by many people across the globe.
